Kate Upton Models in Bikini Sports Illustrated Cover

 

 

 

For those of you who think modeling is easy, hear this: According to TMZ, Kate Upton had to strip to her bikini on a recent “super-secret Sports Illustrated cover shoot” in Antartica, where it was -35 °F.

Apparently, Upton boarded a private 10-day cruise from Argentina to Antarctica, back at the end of November–and TMZ somehow obtained several behind-the-scenes photos of the shoot that took place during it. As you can see here, while everyone else on board is sporting heavy-duty coats and hats, Upton is clad only in a skimpy white bikini (and fur boots, natch).

And if you ever had any doubts about Upton‘s modeling skills, this should definitely put those to rest: Despite the freezing temperatures, Upton’s face gives no hint whatsoever that she’s cold. If this were an America’s Next Top Model challenge, she’d surely be the winner.

However, while these photos left us in no doubt about Upton’s modeling prowess, they did leave us with a few questions. First of all, at one point in the shoot Upton can be seen cozying up with a giant Oreo. Yep, you read that right. If this is a Sports Illustrated cover shoot like TMZ claims, then the magazine is certainly going in a, er, new direction.

But even more mysterious is the case of Upton’s invisible nipples. Seriously, in below 35° weather you’d think those things could cut glass! Does Upton have Mr. Freeze-like capabilities to stay warm in cold climates or is that bikini top actually made of steel? Those are the big questions…
